Assistant Executive Director

Melissa has worked at NAFI since 1995. Since that time, she has held several positions within the agency including Case Manager, Program Supervisor, Program Director, and Director of Community Based Services. She later served as Director of Quality Assurance for Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New York, where she coordinated and led the agency’s performance and quality assurance plans as well as the agency’s accreditation process through the Council on Accreditation (COA). Through these efforts, Melissa helped ensure that the agency utilized data-driven strategies to inform decision making and guide high-quality service delivery.

In addition to overseeing the agency’s Information Technology Department, Melissa has served as both the system administrator for the agency’s electronic health record and HIPAA Privacy Officer, ensuring employees have access to critical technology resources while maintaining the highest standards of safety, privacy, and security across the organization.

In 2026, Melissa stepped into the role of Assistant Executive Director for NAFI Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New York. In this leadership role, she supports agency-wide operations, quality improvement initiatives, and strategic planning efforts across the region. Melissa continues to champion operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and innovative systems that strengthen services for youth, families, and communities while supporting staff in delivering exceptional care.
